It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's a...

What?!  Is there really such a party?
For my Bouncy, Balloon-Loving Girl, there is now!

Balloons were tied to golf tees and stuck in the ground in the shape of a six to take this picture for Julianne's party invitation, which I created on Photoshop.  This party invitation was then rolled up inside a balloon, and taped onto a background that Julianne herself drew.  Guests had to blow up their balloon, then p-o-p it to get the invitation!

To start my daughter's unusual balloon theme off, I baked cakes to look like balloons!  I baked the cakes in stainless steel bowls to make them as round as possible, then frosted them.

I then got my hand wet and smoothed out the frosting until it was shiny and smooth, just like a balloon!  (Wow, look at the difference!)

WE ATE PIZZA AT JULIANNE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY, BUT OF COURSE WE HAD TO SUPPLEMENT WITH SOME BALLOON-THEMED PARTY FOODS TOO...!

Julianne also chose three colors of balloons to inflate and give to each guest.  Just as the children had to POP a balloon to get their invitation, they will POP this balloon to get the additional candy inside!  (These balloons WERE filled up with helium, but you'd never know!  The candy really weighted them down... whoops!)

My third grade students are always fascinated with my own children, just as my children are fascinated by them! Many of my students chose to create a balloon decoration for Julianne's birthday party.  She was THRILLED!

Balloon Birthday Favors were in colorful cups.  They included a balloon helicopter kit, ->>

little suckers, chocolate gold coins, and a word search made on superteacherworksheets.com with Julianne birthday party words!

This interactive floor was constantly changing!

PUMP IT UP HAD MANY BOUNCY HOUSES AND SLIDES TO ENJOY, AS WELL AS AN AIR HOCKEY TABLE, WIND CHAMBER, INTERACTIVE DANCE FLOOR, AND MUCH MORE!

Everyone enjoyed the giant slide... including my parents!

After the guests enjoyed over an hour of bouncing, sliding, and playing, they came into the party room to eat, drink, sing "Happy Birthday", and watch Julianne open their presents.  The Birthday Girl sat in this inflatable chair the whole time, only standing up to blow out her candles!
